Every garage door should have a bottom rubber seal with a retainer at the base, along with weather stripping along the top and sides. These components protect your garage and home from unpleasant drafts, harsh weather, moisture, debris, and even critters.
Over time, constant exposure to the elements can cause the bottom seal — also called a retainer — to wear out or become damaged. This often results in gaps at the bottom of the door, rust or corrosion on the retainer or door, and unwanted air drafts.
At Whitby Garage Doors, we can replace your worn or damaged bottom seal to help keep your garage dry, comfortable, and energy-efficient — while keeping out pests and debris.
Our Garage Door Bottom Seal Replacement Services
At Whitby Garage Doors, we take garage door bottom seal replacement seriously; even small gaps can lead to big problems. We offer reliable, same-day service, but we don’t rush the job. We ensure we get it right the first time, using the proper tools and equipment for a snug, weather-tight fit.
Our team starts by carefully inspecting your garage door threshold seal and the bottom of your door to spot any hidden damage. We identify the type of retainer you have — U-style, T-style, bead, bulb, flat or angle. If replacement is needed, we’ll remove the worn-out seal, clean the surface and install a new, high-quality seal built to last. If we do not have the required bottom rubber, we will replace the bottom retainer with one that fits our rubber to ensure a perfect fit for any door size. Our friendly, experienced technicians test every job before leaving to ensure long-lasting, smooth door operation.
